This image is of the Rosette Nebula. The Rosette Nebula (also known as Caldwell 49) is an H II region located near one end of a giant molecular cloud in the Monoceros region of the Milky Way Galaxy. The image you see here is made up of 7 hours worth of data, totaling over 5Gbs in file size. All of the images were captured from my backyard in Oceanside, California.
